AIRZONE: The World’s First Suspended Net Playground

Maximising energy through active plays is one way for kids to boost their confidence in their skills and capabilities. The AIRZONE is a unique play space for children and adults alike!  Children and kids-at-heart will definitely enjoy this indoor playground three to six-story up from the ground.

Get a rush of adrenaline and exhibit that excitement through participating in activities in AIRZONE’s challenging features. Hailed as the “World’s First Suspended Net Playground,” it’s sure to take you to new heights (literally)!

AIRZONE: An Overview

AIRZONE is an indoor playground located inside City Square Mall, home to more than 200 retail stores, restaurants, and other entertainment establishments, and a definite attraction to both the locals and tourist shoppers.

The mall is known as Singapore’s First Eco Mall with how it had been conceptualised with environmental sustainability as a priority. The mall features designs and new technology that maximise natural resources with little cost. Upon entering City Square Mall, you will already feel its eco-friendly theme through its structure and murals inspired by tropical rainforests and other ecosystems.

Since AIRZONE’s first opening in February 2018 operated by Ultimate Entertainments Group, City Square Mall also became known for housing such a unique indoor playground. “This new concept has the potential to disrupt existing shopping mall and attractions business models by bringing fun activities directly to shoppers, or conversely, driving leisure seeking tourist directly to shopping malls,” Ultimate Entertainments Group said in an interview with Channel News Asia

General Information

AIRZONE is elevated at the height of 36m above floor level and has four levels of different features. If this sounds too daunting for you, there are 2-3 trained staff on each level to supervise everyone playing. You will also be briefed first about standard safety measures and rules before entering AIRZONE.

Level 3: The Ball Pit

Even the ball pit is suspended in the air! When you’re up here, you’ll feel like you’re in cloud 9 except you’re deep in 40,000 balls – the same thing!

Level 4: Zorb Balls

There are three zorb balls ready for you to play and throw around with other guests on the level! “Poison Ball,” a nostalgic Singaporean pastime from childhood, is one of the most popular games that kids play at this level. Just a disclaimer: the zorb balls are much bigger than a kid so be careful when playing around with them!

Level 5: The Maze

After scrambling and playing around in the previous levels of AIRZONE, this area becomes the tamest and might even be the perfect zone for the tired ones. There’s enough space for both adults and children to explore!

Level 6: Giant Slide

Finally, you’ve reached the last level! By the time you get to this area, you might already be too exhausted to go down. But do not fret! Instead of stairs, there’s a giant slide you can ride on for an easier and more fun way of going downhill.

AIRZONE’s Best Feature

There are different activities you can do at each respective level – it’s essentially like a game. The levels become more and more exhausting as you go through them, but as you advance through each one, you’ll get the hang of it eventually. AIRZONE’s four levels might not sound enough when seen from this perspective, but you’ll see what we’re talking about when you try it out for yourself! For that, AIRZONE’s best feature would definitely be its unique levels and areas that will give any kid (and kids-at-heart) fun and challenging time.

Why We Like AIRZONE

Image From AIRZONE

Looking at a one of a kind indoor playground in Singapore, it’s not hard to find what makes AIRZONE so likeable! It’s a common notion that playgrounds are spaces for kids, but AIRZONE says “Nope, EVERYONE gets to have fun!” It’s not age-specific, but it still pays attention to what each age group needs with the amenities and services offered within the indoor playground. Plus, the fact that it’s inside a mall where you can attend to the needs of everyone in the family is a huge bonus. Hungry? There’s a bunch of restaurants around! Tired? Customer lounges and benches are everywhere!

Still not convinced? Check out what others have to say about AIRZONE!
