  • Applied Learning Programme: DEVELOPING EVERY STUDENT INTO A CONFIDENT COMMUNICATOR: The school seeks to equip our students with skills and dispositions to prepare them for the 21st century in the area of confident communication. Every JYPS student will experience the 6-year Confident Communicator programme aimed at developing their confidence in speaking and communicating with others. The inter-departmental collaboration amongst the EL, MTL and ICT departments has resulted in myriad programmes and meaningful activities which are weaved into the curriculum progressively through the levels.
  • Learning for Life Programme: MIND, BODY AND SOUL: The LLP in the realm of music and the performing arts, entitled Mind, Body and Soul, delivers holistic music education through the Orff-Schelwerk, Dalcroze and Kodaly pedagogies, centred on audiation (cognitive process by which the brain gives meaning to musical sounds), body percussion techniques, rhythmic creation and improvisation within an environment that encourages collaboration and individual expression. In addition, students’ musicianship and performance excellence is enhanced through non-formal and informal learning opportunities in the curriculum and through the performing arts CCA groups. This exposes students to various music genres and the rich cultures these genres bring with them.
