Rosyth School

  • Under the auspices of the Applied Learning Programme (ALP) and Learning for Life Programme (LLP), students go through level-wide activities to broaden their learning in the two focused areas. Those with the aptitude or interest may also progress to our customized activities for more in-depth learning.
  • In the area of Science, students go through a range of activities from life-sciences, the use of customized gadgets to investigate scientific concepts, to the application of theories in the design of toys. Platforms have also been provided for students to apply their learning in the creation of toys/artefacts using science concepts, which are subsequently sold to raise funds for selected beneficiaries.
  • With regard to the development of Aesthetics, students are exposed to voice-training, dance, playing of musical instruments, to the use of ICT for manga art and 2D animations. Through the programme, students are exposed to an array of alternative platforms to express their thoughts and ideas.

Overall Feedback

  • Parents’ Testimonials
    • “Rosyth is one of 3 schools that have been offering GEP the longest. The program is well-established and has experienced teachers. It is a challenging program, but the culture in the GEP is not one of competition and score comparison. Rather, the students are excited and consumed by the alternative curriculum and the intensity of the learning experience. I don’t have first-hand knowledge of other centers so I can’t compare Rosyth vs. them, but I find the Rosyth GEP and the school itself perfectly fine for my children.”
    • “my opinion is Rosyth is moving towards a more holistic environment . For lower pri the school is very much relaxed and they get minimal homework. What i like is the environment . The children are respectful and very well mannered . I can tell this is something different from other schools as i had the privilage to pv at 2 schools . Mdm tan is a very motherly figure and her directions are very much student-centred . So overall Rosyth is worth fighting for.”
  • Students’ Testimonials
    • “School was not just about the academics, it was sometimes about life lessons taught by teachers. They taught us to be better students and people as we progressed to secondary school.”
    • “I was first given a leadership role as a prefect in rosyth. It was then that I decided that I enjoyed leading and eventually continue exploring many other leadership roles. The teachers nurtured and provided me with much advice and the school opened up worlds of opportunities for me to explore. I am who I am today because of Rosyth.”
