THE CURRICULUM
Unique Programmes and services

- Leveraging our Learning for Life Programme in Environment Education – G4Life, we build our students’ character, inculcate in them the importance of social responsibility towards the environment and develop them into concerned citizens and active contributors to society. Students acquire knowledge on environmental issues through level-specific activities which allow them to explore different aspects of environmental conservation and reflect on their experiences to consolidate and internalise their learning.
- The Chinese Language (CL) Department has developed an in-house teaching package for the CL bridging programme, ‘Learning CL Sentence, No Fear!‘. Its unique feature of parental involvement has seen good progress in the students’ learning of CL.
- PAL@TNPS, which covers the domains of Visual Art, Performing Art, Sports Education and Outdoor Education, weaves in Environment Education as an anchor theme. Teacher-designed and facilitated lessons activities are experiential and interactive, instilling a sense of curiosity in students as they embark on self-discovery and collaboration with others.
- The Adventure Camp for Primary Four students seeks to develop resilience in our students through customised rugged outdoor programmes as part of character education.
Overall Feedback
- Students’ Testimonials
-
- “I just graduated from TNPS, and I feel the teachers are super friendly. The hod for English has very good teaching methods, and the hod for maths is very humorous too. All the teachers may look stern and strict, but they are actually very approachable if you have problems of any kind. Our school and class spirit is very strong, and everyone mingles with each other. No one is left out. The school is located right next to Tampines Eco-green, so the teachers can bring their students there for science lessons, making it more fun. The so-called forest next to the school is good too, as the plants will be able to provide fresh air. Overall, the six years I spent in TNPS were memorable.”
